3/22/25

Ozark United - FC Bartlesville 1:2

Siloam Springs, AR – The FC Bartlesville Buffaloes kicked off their OK-AR Conference season with a strong 2-1 victory over Ozark United in front of a crowd of about 100 spectators.

The match started with a moment of brilliance from Perica Obradovic, who opened the scoring in the 5th minute with an incredible goal straight from a corner kick, catching the opposition off guard.

After the early breakthrough, the first half saw few clear chances, with both teams battling in the midfield.

The Buffaloes controlled much of the second half, and their dominance paid off when they were awarded a penalty kick, after Jordan Watson’s shot was blocked by a defender’s hand. Stefan Cvetanovic confidently converted from the spot to double the lead.

Shortly after, the Buffaloes earned another penalty when Erik Hjertsson was brought down in the box, but this time, the Ozark United goalkeeper made a crucial save to keep his team in the game.

Ozark United found a lifeline late in the match, scoring a goal off a corner kick to make it 2-1. However, the Buffaloes managed the final minutes well, keeping control of possession and seeing out the victory to secure all three points.

Next up, the Buffaloes will host their home opener at Custer Stadium on Saturday, March 30, at 3:30 PM, taking on the Arkansas Wolves.

We hope to see our community come out in full force to support the team as we continue our season!
